Lin Miffed by Obama Snub in Coronavirus Shout Out
Washington, D.C – Former NBA flash-in-the-pan, Jeremy Lin, made his way into headlines again, after president Obama commended several current NBA stars for their pledges of financial support to arena staff during the ongoing league suspension because of COVID-19.
One player notably missing from the former president’s list was Lin, who’d pledged a healthy sum himself, but had been relegated to an inferior basketball league in China.
Despite the fact that his NBA stardom lasted a shorter time than the Humprhies/Kardashian marriage, Lin has described his general state of being over the over props omission by Obama as, “Linsane.”
“I just don’t think he knows how hard it’s been for me in the last year,” said Lin, in a recent Instagram post. He’d go on to thank God for all his support and would pray for the health and safety of the Obama family in the same breath.
Obama, a noted basketball fan, wasn’t able to comment on Lin’s post because the beloved, former leader of the free world simply didn’t know the ex-NBA player wasn’t even in the league anymore. When asked, Obama said, “You know, he's been on so many different teams the last few years. I thought he was still on the Raptors. Shouldn’t he feel lucky just to have a ring?”
It seems more apparent than ever that not all things out of China can be considered, “fine.”
