Palestinian Carpenter to Direct and Star in Remake, A Star is Born Again
NAZARETH, PALESTINE — Fresh on the heels of Bradley Cooper’s impressive turn as a first time director, an aspiring Palestinian auteur is looking to helm his first film: A Star is Born Again.
Jesus H. Christ, a local framer and occasional miracle worker, has been inspired by Cooper’s take on the oft-remade iconic story.
“Coop really knocked it out of the park,” observed Christ. “It’s well known his struggles with booze in his personal life made this film incredibly personal. A glass of Merlot anyone? There’s plenty to go around.”
The first-time filmmaker is being especially tight lipped about the potential script although revealing there’s much from his personal journey to draw on. “I actually was hammered pretty good one afternoon. I thought I was dead, but woke up a few days later in a cave. You might say it was the world’s first zombie story.”
A few of Christ’s squad have been a tad reluctant to believe he’s got the bona fides to get the project greenlit. “I love JC but he makes some pretty far fetched claims,” said well-known frenemy, Judas Iscariot. “I don’t for one second believe he’s got the pull to get Creed to score the film either.”
More to come.
