With Fiancé Four Decades Younger, Dennis Surpasses Randy as Most Questionable Quaid

Los Angeles, CA — Chock full of creepy genes, Dennis Quaid, asked for his significantly younger girlfriend’s hand in marriage, while on a recent sunset cruise in Hawaii. Popping the question to woman born 39 years after he was, firmly supplants Dennis over his older brother, Randy, as the most disturbing Quaid left in the gene pool.

Randy, of course, having played the irrepressible cousin Eddy in the National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise, was unable to shake the character’s traits from his real life, having dealt with a variety of legal troubles through years, at one point seeking exile in Canada, claiming his life was at stake in the U.S.. Still, for all his well-documented troubles, at least Randy kept his sexual proclivities close to his own age.

Laura Savoie, set to be the younger Quaid’s fourth wife, is currently studying for her PhD at the University of Texas in Austin, where she met the Houston born actor. The two wanted to take their fresh relationship more seriously than some of their contemporaries, and an engagement was the most surefire way to do so.

“Look, no one in Hollywood wants to pull a Mel, and show up on the red carpet with a barely legal nobody they knocked up and aren’t even married to,” said a rep for the new couple-to-be, Fergus Renfro, referencing Mel Gibson’s cringeworthy 2017 Oscar’s appearance.

Funny enough, it’s not the first time a morally corrupt Australian actor has affected Dennis’ lovelife. Having once been cuckolded by a younger, Russell Crowe, this Quaid sure knows his way around the ups and downs of romance.

Now, all we can do is patiently await the day a baby announcement arrives, because what child doesn’t want a Dad who’ll die of old age before they learn how to talk?
