AOC’s Comment Sparks Meaningful Debate — Who’s The Actual Boss?
In responding to critics of the Green New Deal, Ocasio-Cortez vociferously pointed out her critics should either put up or shut up, and until such time declared, “I’m the boss,” in no uncertain terms.
The move has seen a motley bevy of aspirants to the boss title coming out of the woodwork; some expected, others less so. These range from the great grandson of German fashion designer Hugo Boss, to Rick “the Boss” Ross,” and perhaps most surprisingly, former Pro-Bowl secondary menace, T.J. “Boss” Ward.
The comments have caused an uproar in the annals of self-anointed claims to bosshood, leaving scholars of power dynamics befuddled. “With Springsteen losing relevance with millennials, it’s really opened the door for someone to grab the title...” noted Slippery Rock University boss expert Claude Bombay. “But if Kyrie Irving throws his hat in the ring, I just might lose my shit.”
At the time of writing, other claims have come from perpetual boss aspirant, Tony Danza, as well as any person who has ridden in a London cab at least once.
More to come.
